Treasure trove, and good friends

Look at these wonderful things! My friend Linda was cleaning out some things and found a few vintage items she had collected and she she thought I'd like. Do I ever! She brought me that box and it was just like a little treasure chest to me.....All of it is wonderful - the 2 vintage vases are to die for, and also she gave me a set of 2 stacked sewing machine drawers which aren't pictured. I'll be painting that little baby a cottagey white. Aren't friends wonderful?

I was given a cup, saucer and desert plate that inspired me to get off my touche and start the painting I was so desperately trying to avoid. I dont' like fumes of any kind. Well, I went out and bought no odor primer and low VOC paint. That was 2 weeks ago and i'm still painting. I'm afraid if I stop, I won't soon start again. Almost every shelf is painted.

Aren't friends great? Yes... inspiring too! :)

What a great friend, and what fabulous pressies! I love the vases too. I saw a chandelier done with tiny salt and pepper shakers instead of crystals or added to crystals....SO CUTE....I just never run across the tiny ones, so I've never done it.

Blessings and smiles,
Spencer
