Collector or hoarder?

Here's just a few of my recent finds. I love the silverplate creamers - I'm still deciding whether to keep them or sell them. I'm wondering.....at what point does one cross the line between collector and hoarder...??

Melissa, you made me chuckle about when a collector become a hoarder. When I figure that out I'll let you know! LOL! (Although I suspect my husband would say I'm knocking on the hoarding door!)

The creamers are just lovely! I agree, they would be gorgeous with flowers in them. They look great on your shelf too!

If you ask my husband, I'm a hoarder! I have to admit I have a lot of stuff....eventually, I'm planning on selling it, but it takes time to get things cleaned, repaired, and priced. There's always a backup of goods in every nook and cranny of our house!

I you love the things you have around you, touch them, study them, fondle them, appreciate them, then you are never a hoarder, but a collector of all things beautiful.

What fun! You got some great goodies. Love those creamers! It makes me want to get out of bed and go to an estate sale.

My daughter calls me a hoarder. lol I guess I might be one, lol. I have 3 storage buildings full of stuff for projects etc. Oh well...I just laugh with her about it. I love buying and 'finding' old junk and re-doing it. Just about the only 'fun' that I have and I'm gonna keep on having fun. lol Thanks for stopping by the other day and leaving the sweet comments.

Hugs,
Lee Laurie

p.s. I love your little creamers. Very pretty.

Hi Melissa, I think you should keep them. I bet you could come up with great ideas for using them. My husband says I am a hoarder, but I prefer to think of myself as someone who loves to surround herself with things she loves. I have been in peoples home that have no personality. You can't tell who lives there or what they are about. I like entering a home that tells a story about the ones that live there. That's just me. I hope you find something wonderful to do with them, Char

I love all your treasures! The creamers and hand mirror are my favorites! I think one is a hoarder when they have so much stuff there isn't room to display their treasures anymore. Don't think you need to worry about that! :)

Hmmm crossing the line between hoarding and collecting?? I say a person is a hoarder when there is only a tiny path to walk through in your house...now a collector I suppose is one item shy of that senario!! LOL
