Old Military Trunk Coffee Table

I found this old military trunk while out picking.  Bun feet were bolted to the bottom, and it is painted with Martha Stewart's Vintage Decor Paint in Charcoal, although on this piece it is a steel gray color.  I distressed it and then waxed it.  Love how it turned out.  I left the wonderful original paper inside intact.

Reclaimed Dresser Drawer Wedding Card Holder

I found this old dresser drawer, added reclaimed legs from an old table that was made into a coffee table, metal drawer pulls and pretty papers for lining. Makes a unique wedding card holder for a vintage style wedding, don't you think?

A Teacup Chandelier

My version of a teacup chandelier upcycle....I found some old teacups, spray painted a chandelier light fixture to match them, and bonded the teacups to each section with E6000 glue (wonderful stuff!).  Here it is shown with fresh flowers in each cup, but it could also be used to hold tealights and hung in the garden to enjoy at dusk.

An Altered Suitcase, Sweet Violets

I just finished this suitcase, painted Duck Egg and decoupaged with various Violet-themed ephemera.  These can be used for decorative storage or for wedding decor to hold wedding cards, or even as a prop for photography.

The One That Got Away

Have you ever found an item that you love, and for one reason or another you didn't buy it, and it haunts you because you can't find another?  That's the case for me with this beautiful vintage coffee can.  I love the graphics, love the shade of blue.  I bid on it on an online auction, intending to bid at the last minute, and FORGOT ABOUT IT! I can't seem to find another.  If you ever find one of these, I'd love to know.

Old Chifferobe Door Mirror

This old mirrored door was the only thing salvageable from an old chifferobe.  I painted it duck egg blue, added another knob directly across from the one on the right, and a sawtooth hanger on the back.  This mirror can be hung on a wall or propped on a shelf.  I would use the knobs to hang necklaces.

Upcycle Project for the Garden

Very old chipped Blue Ridge Pottery teacups with broken handles are bonded to a heavy iron candelabra which was painted bright celery green.  It can be used in the garden as a bird feeder or a planter for small vining plants
