I can't help it - I have a thing for old mirrors. Even with a few chips and especially the aged look when the silver begins to fade. I can't help but wonder how many faces have peered into them in past years. I have some faded flat mirrors propped up on bookcase shelves, with items placed in front to be reflected. I love etched designs on the old mirrors. Pictured here are a grouping on a wall which includes hand mirrors and shaving mirrors. I am especially fond of old shaving mirrors with beveled, scalloped edges and tin frames. In the second photo are my two most recent finds -one I got at flea market and the other at a yard sale - both of which I got dirt cheap!

Thank You so much for taking the time to visit my Blog, Adorn today.
I have a hand held mirror that was my Grandmother's. I believe it is of that old fashioned plastic that the name escapes me now. The face is oval and the glass is beveled. I treasure it as I can remember it on her dresser.
Have a Wonderful Day!!

What a stunning display of these beautiful vintage mirrors!!
Wow! Love this display and what a neat collection
You have a unique collection, and it's nice that you hung all of it in your wall. My mom loves to collect hand mirrors as well, but often hides her mirror collection in her wooden chest in the basement. I'll definitely share to her this idea so she will be convince to hang her beautiful collection and turn it in to a wonderful decoration just like you did. =)
