Some finds to share

I've been away awhile, I know - I lost my precious grandfather who was 98 and had grown weary. He kept his keen wit and was recalling stories of long ago right up until the very last day or two before his death, and he would always light up with joy each and every time I visited. I will miss him until we meet again...

Here are a couple of recent yard sale finds to share - a fabulous round silver framed vintage doily. I've never seen a frame like this - have any of you? It looks like the rim of a silver tray.

Also, a floral pitcher - it must have had a matching basin at one time. I love the floral design - roses and lilacs.

Sorry for your loss, may he rest in peace & you find happiness for his new journey.

Love your trays ... occasionally they show up in the shops. The pitcher tho looks very German & may have had a tray or plate to go under it. Very pretty finds. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend. TTFN ~Marydon

Melissa, So sorry to hear about the loss of your grandpa. ((hugs))

Your finds are wonderful. I did get a similar tray for my mom for Christmas 2 years ago. But hers isn't that wonderful silver. It's more traditional vanity tray gold. Has a very similar doily in the glass.

Oh Melissa....I am so sorry for the you and your families loss. You will be in my prayers sweetie, yes you will see him again one day.

The treasures you found are so pretty...I have never seen a framed picture like that before...gorgeous! I too, have a hard time parting with some of my finds...I always keep alot of them for myself, and scurry around trying to find a spot to put them. My decorating style is becoming quite layered. LOL! I hope you have a great day...
Big hugs,
Queenie
